Sometimes both of us do "wears the pants". There are other times when we are pantyless. On a serious note, when it comes to take a decision, we try to discuss things in a civilised manner. On most issues we agree instantly. She gives me the go ahead when it comes to find workers to finish jobs at our house such as plasterers, decorators etc. I live other issues in her hand, the colour scheme to be used in the rooms. So this way we are complementary. When a decision involves our son as well, we try to involve him in the decision making, even if the final decision is ours.

We both wear the pants, but not the same pair lol,no if there are any decisions to be made then we have a summit meeting and thrash them out together, its no good just the one making a decision as it could be the complete opposite of what the other wants,so we definately need to decision make together, especially if it concerns the budgetting. If its something not too mind boggling and the final answer isnt going to worry anyone then its fine it can be made by one of us.But lets say it was all about buying a new car,my partner would choose a two seater sports car, which would be a gas guzzler, and I would choose a small Vauxhall corsa that is economical to run and will be good to insure and road tax.so we would have to come to some agreement ,somewhere in between that would make us both happy lol what I diont know, but we wud try.But if its a decision whether we have a Mc Donalds burger or a Kentucky fried chicken for supper then that doesnt take too much thinking about reaqlly. So on the whole the decision making is between the two of us.

Thanks. You seem to have a great "working" relationship with your husband.

In our household, it's pretty much split between my husband and me. When it comes to major financial decisions, it usually depends on which one of us wants something more! Generally, I make our vacation plans while he takes care of day to day stuff. It works well.
