Best RPGs For PS2/3?

So I'm making my list of games I never got to play because I always had an xbox, and I'm just not a fan - but offer up some suggestions, personal insights on RPGs you've played, the ones you've liked, and the ones you didn't - I'm trying to find my latest PS2/3 adventure.

I think purchasing a game like Disgaea would be a good idea. I've heard it was a fantastic turn-based RPG. It is a bit crazy but it's definitely time-consuming and fun if you're a true gamer! 
My brother just recently got me a PS2 I believe it was for christmas last year. I haven't really had time to dabble and do my research into games but that one did stand out above the rest when it came to RPG's and it's the only one I can think of off the top of my head!
