Cooking for someone is a great expression of love, comfort, and gratitude. A hearty meal prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients can warm anyone's heart. This is why many cultures send meals to those who have recently lost a loved one; our motivation behind traditional holiday meals; and why affectionate memories of family often center around the table. Sharing food with people is an intimate occasion. While you are cooking have you find the joy of it?

If my memory still serves me perfectly, I remember cooking plain rice for the entire family together with four to six sunnyside up eggs. These were the first meals I cooked for them when I was still a high school student. I started schooling here in the city while my parents lived most of their lives in the province. I only get to come home and be with them every summer vacation, and extended holiday seasons. Aside from cooking, I also do the laundry and take care of my younger siblings. I'm the eldest among four siblings in the family. Both of our parents have separate jobs; working for the government. I feel that these are some of the simple ways I could be of help to my parents and also, it is my way of thanking them for everything they have done and given to me. They did not have to hire the services of a nanny when I was with them. All of these has been almost two decades ago already. Now, I have my own family being married for more than five years and we have one daughter for a child. She has just turned three last month. Until now, we still don't have our own properties, house and land in particular, but we are really striving hard to make this dream of ours a reality in the soonest possible time.
