What's Your Favorite Sesame Song?

I finally found a discussion that hasn't been done on MyLot!!! (Don't be mad Myklji) Today I was watching "Play with me Sesame" with my daughter, and on one of the segments they played the "Monster in the Mirror" song featuring Grover. This version is watered down from the one I watched back in my day, with all the stars in it. It was just him and two other non-descript monsters. So this gave me the itch to go watch the full version with all the stars in it on You-Tube, and I have been here ever since lol!!! Its fun going back and watching all the videos from back when I was still watching Sesame Street. This is one thing I can say we had better than the kids of today. They may have new games, but we had the quality music. So now I decided, with the help of Myklji's discussion a couple of days ago, to make this a discussion and a game. What was your favorite Sesame Street song? Put down the Duckie? If Moon Was Cookie? Go forth, Mylotters! Find me video's, bring back links!!! Discuss!!! By the way, mine is a toss up between the "Monster In the Mirror" full version, and the pinball song. I'll put the link to the first one here, but I have a totally different discussion for the latter!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maYnqbdo2jw

Oh wow!!!! I had so many favorite songs from Sesame Street. Definitely Put Down the duckie for sure. I love "How I miss X" by Patti Labelle. I love the pinball song which for longest I didn't know that was the Pointer Sisters singing it. My other favorites are when Celia Cruz on Sesame Street: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjEE5Mf24vg and also when Bobby McFerrin was on there at the Birdland Club: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr_zl7MeCs0&feature=related and there another one by Bobby on there too but this one I really love. Great discussion! You brought back some memories for me.

I forgot about Miss Patti altogether!!! That was a cute song, and not too much different from the original she sang. I will have to watch the Celia Cruz one again, its not ringing a bell right now. I do remember "Tweet in the Morning" that was a great song! Oh, and don't feel bad, I didn't know that was the Pointer Sisters until today!!! But there is a remix, I posted it in the discussion after this one. That is Sesame Street you can shake your booty to lmao!!!

That's a good segment, but I was talking more about the music. Or was there a song that went to it? I do believe there was a little ditty sung at the end when Big Bird finally found Ernie. But what I was getting at is the full blown music videos they used to do back in the day, like up until the late 90's. What is your favorite from those?

I liked watching Cookie Monster with my daughter. He sings a cute song. "C is for cookie" I like that one. Unfortunately it sticks in my head when it comes on. And for way too long for a grown woman!

I watched Sesame Street when I was 5. My favorite song is "Who are the People in your Neighborhood". Lol. Ok don't laugh but that's how I got to know the people in our hood. The postman, milkman, newspaper boys, peanuts mama, fishball gents, icecream man, hehehe. It was fun and I always sang the song to these guys. Oh we had a grouch of our own too. He didn't live in a trash can like Oscar did but man was he a real grouch. I also loved the song "One of these things is not like the other". Cheers! hehe
