Did you do "scientific experiments" as a kid?

I used to put things in the microwave, like those marshmallow Peeps that you get at Easter, or an apple. Also, I would mix perfumes but I never really liked to wear them. I also would mix different sodas together to see if it would taste good. Did you do anything like that when you were little?

I was really into chemistry as a kid and tried all kinds of experiments in the kitchen.
In those days it was possible to buy interesting chemicals from the chemist shop.
I even managed to buy nitric , hydrochloric and sulphuric acids!
I remember mixing things on the floor of the garage and being impressed nby the frothing and effervescence. Unfortuinatley my dad was not pleased as it made a bit of a crater as the concrete was calcium carnbnate and the acid dissolved it!

I do remember a funny incident as a child I had gone into the bathroom with one of mum's mixing bowls she uses for cakes and I remember mixing bubble bath with shampoo, some of daddy's shaving cream he used to shave with and anything else I could get my hands on, fortunately there were no chemicals within my reach, doesn't bare thinking about looking back but when mum found me in the bathroom with this yukky concoction she went mad! Her best mixing bowl but I think she was more worried that I hadn't drunk any of that nasty looking liquid! I don't think I ever did that again LOL!

That has to be the most famous things that kids experiments with, mixing perfumes, powders, shampoos, anything they see. Sometimes I still, to this day, mix shampoos on my head if I can't decide if I want to have soft or shiny or less frizzy hair. Why not take all three!

I did find a cocoon and put it in a jar untill it turned into a butterfly. That was really neat to see . After it turned into butterfly I let it go.
