Please help me with google adsense, I'm a little confused

I applied for google adsense a few days ago. Luckily, i got accepted right away. I was very excited to use it because i've been wanting to monetize my blog for a long time now. However, when i started checking the faq's corner and got my adsense code, i got suddenly confused. I just dont know how i'll paste the adsense code to my blogs html. I made alot of troubleshooting already and still i cant see the ads in my blog. I really dont know what to do. Can you guys help me with this very confusing html thing. I'll really appreciate it.
