Is it okay to refrigerate Nerds candies?

I just bought some Nerds candies and I'm reserving it for some gruesome lectures beginning on the 24th. It worked for me once so I bought lots of it. That time, I had no sleep due to some school work and I even had to rush up when morning came because I was going to be late. After that school work, I attended class and was so sleepy. So I bought Nerds from our school canteen and used it to survive the whole day lecture. It was supposed to be 8am-5pm but luckily, it was only 7am-4pm.
Anyhoo, I would like to refrigerate the candies until the 24th. I would like to leave them on the table along with a cover but maybe rats can get their way in and munch on those. However, there was one type of hard buttertoffee candy that I kept in the ref but when taken out of the ref and left on room temperature for long, it didn't melt but gave an awful taste. I was wondering if that would happen to Nerds as well.
In case you're wondering, I bought the candies now because it was my only time to drop by at school. I already graduated and am going to take reviews/lectures for a professional licensure exam.
Hmm...do you think that's why they named the candy Nerds?

i think so..
just make sure you place it in a sealed container where moisture wont get into the candy's surface..
i love munching on that source sweet taste! but that doesn't make a nerd!hehe my male friend and i would drive through a store just to buy strawberry and grape nerds! yum yum!

I think it would be ok to refrigerate them. No hard science here, just a hunch. I don tknow why they named the candy nerds maybe it it was invented by nerds, just dont know about that one.

Nerds are great! It really helped me a lot in my long study hours... In fact, I love cold Nerds, those straight from the fridge are great! My friends and I are really fans. We consider Nerds one good candy to eat while studying, maybe that really help us in exams, we usually eat it before taking exams and presto! Passed!
Nerds are just so great!

Hi! Thanks a bunch for the response! Thank goodness I haven't put them inside the refrigerator. That must have been sort of icky already My nerds are left on room temperature for weeks now but they're still all right.
