why do people are preoccupied in money?

It's a simple answer, I do not think people are preoccupied with money. In order to live, that is the way of the world, you need money. I think most people's concerns are that they are not receiving enough money to maintain their needs. Everything is rising in price, but people are still making the same money. I am preoccupied, because I am unemployed, got laid off three months ago, and I am concerned about how I am going to pay my rent. My thought is, the other bills will have to wait, but money is the only thing that is going to keep a roof over my head. My landlord does not want to hear, I can not pay rent because I do not have any money. That is where the obcession with money comes in. You need money in order to eat, live someplace other than the streets, even to buy gas for your car so that you can get out to look for a job. If you are not preoccupied, that is wonderful, that means you are in a situation where you can maintain your life without thinking about money. Right now I need money and I need it fast.
