Have you found that certain arrogant people who come either from good backgrounds, or went to a good school, tend to be more arrogant than their peers? They might like to boast about which prestigious school they enrolled in, or about their jobs. Have you ever seen people like this?

yes, i have. but, i'm not impressed. i think these are very sad people. i figure if you have to boast about it, you are convincing yourself what a prestigious person you are. ghandi did not have to shout he was a peaceful man. or, look at me.

You got the point, MOMMASAM! Those people just so sad! I don't think these people would be loved by the society too. Their attitude is annoying for people around them. I believe that this kind of arrogant people wouldn't have many friends around them. Good point MOMMASAM [i]nice to see you here...

Maybe they are just trying to reaffirm their superiority to others. Perhaps they really are insecure people in the inside?

Well... I know this person. He is my own uncle. He went to the good school, and he is a specialist, a doctor and a rich person. But he wasn't. It was my dad who helped him when he was jobless and when he was poor, but now, he forgot all the good thing my dad has done to him. He always thought that all that he got now was because his own work. He was so arrogant, and he never listens. Even to his own mom. He never listens to people and always thinks that he could do better than another people. I hate him but what should I say, he is still my uncle. Arrogant people are annoying, but it would be more pain in the neck if they are your own relative LOL

It doesn't sound like your uncle is very grateful to your father. Instead of being arrogant, it is important to remember all the people who have helped you get to where you are. Thanks, I will remember that.

Yes he is. He treated my father very low now, since my father never have a high education. I think this arrogant person just someone ungrateful who thinks that he could just do anything without anyone else. I don't appreciate such person, even if they are really skillful. Their attitude shows their self. Thank you for bringing this matter up, it was a really good discussion. Happy myLotting :)

Sometimes, we meet this kind of people but we have to be cautious in judging other people. before we do, we should evaluate ourselves, maybe the person just want to share something but for us, it's bragging or boating already. Some people might sound like boasting but in their mind they just want to share their experiences. We just have to understand them. Let us judge gently. One time, I am sharing my experinces to my friend abroad. She has never been to other places. Then she tought I am bragging about my experiences abroad. In my mind, I just want to share my precious experiences.

I guess there has to be a balance, so you don't appear to be too obnoxious or arrogant too..
