What kind of car do you drive?

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4-door. I recently made the switch from Pick-up truck to SUV. I like the Blazer, but I am starting to realize that I need a truck. I should have bought another pick-up truck. I needed more seating room. The truck I had was a Chevy S-10, so there wasn't much room in there for a wife, kid, and 3 dogs if we all wanted to go somewhere, which is why I got the Blazer. I like the extra room, but the SUV limits what you can haul. I have to pull my trailer just to haul the simple things. I am used to having my truck, and just being able to load stuff in the bed of it and go. I am starting to think about getting rid of the Blazer, but I don't know yet what I am going to do. I like a Chevrolet, so I will likely buy another Chevy truck when I decide to get one. However, I have looked at a couple of Ford's and I really like the F-250's as well, so I may end up getting one of those. I don't know yet. What kind of vehicle do you drive? I know we have people from all over the world posting on here, so I am sure I will hear of some brands and models of cars and trucks I am unfamiliar with. It will be interesting to see what types of cars are popular in other parts of the world, so be sure to tell where you are from if you do not live in the United States. Do you have a specific brand that you are loyal to, or will you drive whatever you can get the best deal on when you need one? Like I said, I like a Chevy, but I am not against driving a different brand if I can get a better deal. This should be interesting, so let's hear where you are from and what you drive. I am also curious about why people like certain kinds of vehicles. Do you prefer a car, truck, SUV, or van...and why do you prefer this particular type vehicle. I do a lot of hauling and stuff, so I need a truck, or an SUV and trailer...Anyway, let's hear it. This should be interesting...

I drive a Chryler town & country mini van. its not my dream vehicle but with 3 kids there weren't a lot of options. i wanted a jeep commander but when i looked at it i didn't like the way it was laid out. my kids are young and in order to get into the back seat i would have to fold one of the seats forward which isn't easy if you've got car seats everywhere. Plus the back seat was only a few inches off the floor so any adult to sit back there would sit with their knees up to their chest lol. i love jeep vehicles so maybe one day i'll be able to get another one.

I recommend the newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. We had one for a rental last year when my wife wrecked our car, and I LOVED IT. It was perfect for her. As I said earlier, I am beginning to realize that an SUV is not for me, but for her it was ok. All she ever really hauls is groceries and stuff, so she doesn't need a lot of cargo room. The one we got for a rental car had a V-6 engine, so it was ok on gas mileage and had plenty of kick to it. It was a 4-door, so the car seats wouldn't be a problem. Check it out, I think you will like it.

My car is still sitting at the dealership wondering why I haven't picked it up yet. I take the bus and even though at times it can be inconvenient, I remind myself how much more economical it is with gas prices the way they are. Not to mention payments, insurance and maintenance.

Hi Goldeneagle, I'm from the UK and drive a Seat Toledo hatchback which is a great family sized car with lots of boot space. I like BMW and have owned in the past, I don't think I am loyal to one particular type of car but I have had more Fords and Vauxhall than any car but have also owned Volkwagen, Triumph and Jaguar too. I would rather a motorcycle but not practical with kids so I guess I prefer a car and have really driven that many trucks, small vans yeah but I like company so a family car the best for me. Ellie :D
