Will you consider a person a friend even though you just met him online?

I am very friendly person...i chat always over the net whether its ym,msn, skype or eyeball. I met alot of people looking for friends... Real and trusted friends are hard to find nowadays...but still some would say that I trust you even though you are too far away from me. isn't awkward to say your the best buddy or you are my best friend now even though you talked with him just now? Will you consider a person a friend even though you just met him online?

No! I would have to talk to them a lot longer to consider them my friend because I don't know any thing about them when I frist met them. The more you talk to aperson the more you can fine out about them thats means the more you fine out if you wont to be frineds with them.

There are a few people online that I've warmed up to very quickly. But I wouldn't give them my bank account number. :-)

To what is a friend ,different people have different views. For me, a person who just has one same interest with me can be my friend. So,I may consider a person my friend even though I just meet him online. When we talk with a online friend ,we must keep ourselves safe and don't tell private information to them. Then we can share our interests happily ,isn't very enjoyable?Don't put too many standards in looking for a friend.Just you and him feel happy ,that's OK.

Hi musicandme! "A faithful friend is a strong defense and he that has found such one has found a treasure." It's really difficult to have loyal and trusted friends in person. How much more online? But of course, let's not be cynical about it. There are still, of course, few trusted people here out of a million...and that's really true. I have an online friend for years now, yet we still haven't seen each other personally. Sometimes when I'm alone I confide with that person. That friend is always cheering me up when I'm sad. But of course, we still have to hold on some limits here. Let's not divulge everything about us. It's better to be safe than be sorry.

I'd better not take the risk. Why go crazy for an unknown friend, when there are so many friends around.Sometimes online friends may be genuine...But they are 1 out of 100...
