Because she represents a very real threat to Obama.
She also symbolizes everything that the media is against, such as traditional family values, her faith in God, and the fact that she is pro life.
Even the NOW gang hates her, which is odd, considering that she is representative of what they claim to be for... the problem is that she is successful AND family oriented, and that simply can't be allowed... therefore they feel that Palin must be destroyed as they view her as a threat.

She did the unthinkable. she is a truly self made woman. Unlike many of the liberal women she did it with the moral support of her husband and not on his coat tails or with his money or name.
How dare she think she can compare to the Ideal Woman NOW has designed. As the Chair of the South Carolina Democrat Party said her only qualification was that she had not had an abortion. How low will they go to destroy her, not realizing that they are building her up more and more.

I'm seeing both the love and hate from the media, bob, and I think it's intensity depends on how far to the right or the left the particular news outlet leans. The Pro Life vs Pro Choice issue is always a hot button one and the "experience" card can be played from so many angles now...so it makes for good talking points on both radio and tv, which keep folks fired up.

People on the left hate her because she is pro life. And she didn't abort a downs' syndrome baby. And she believes the BIBLE. It's just that simple.

Wrong on all counts! What she personally believes regarding the choice issue is her own business; trying to tell others what to do is a different thing altogether. The fact that she believes in the Bible doesn't make a bit of difference to me. Seeing her on video talking about a witch-hunt/pastor laying his hands on her and praying for her to be elected governor is downright creepy and saying we're in a war that is "God's war" scares the crap out of me. Just like Bush's seeing Putin's soul and hearing Jesus tell him he should be President.
