Do you feel celebrities get paid to much for doing to littles? Forbes.com has come out with there annual list of the most overpaid celebs.

I find some stars get boring after a while and take on to many movies at once and the movies tend to mish mash together.

I don't know if I would say they do too little. But I do feel, that in comparison with other professions some celebrities make too much money. When I think that there are scientists out there trying to find cures to horrible diseases and they don't make nearly the same amount, I wonder about our priorities. Is Tom Cruise really that much more valuable to the human race? Does entertainment match the contributions made by the scientific, education, and defense communities?
I like a good movie or game as much as anyone else, but I'd rather have a cure to cancer.

You know what I do agree with you and I've always wanted to be an actress. But I do think that they get paid way too much. I mean their job is hard but it's not like they are saving lives or anything. Right?

Exactly. There are quite a few professions that provide concrete benefits to a society as a whole. I am not diminishing the contribution they make, but if you have to make a choice, which do you really care about? I once heard someone say that a garbage man and a caridologist were of equal importance to a society. Both provide essential functions. However, I can take out my garbage, doing heart surgery on myself is a very different issue. :)

Well I do agree with you also. I saw this gallery yesterday and I was shocked that stars make so much. Like I told the first poster it's my dream to be an actress but I want to work in Broadway. And I don't really care about the money too much as long as I have enough to buy the bills and have left over to eat then I'm good. But stars like this make so much money that I don't even understand. It's just a really crazy business.

I think that all celebrities are overpaid, and need to find a better way to EARN money. I think it's nuts what celebrities are paid. I really don't pay much attention to them because they bore the heck out of me. I wish I could get paid as much as they do. If I was, I would do a lot better things with the money, than the stuff I've been reading about.
