November is fast approaching, and the next president of a most powerful and influential country will find he's way in the white house. but politics there has made a new page in history making Obama the first colored man to be nominated and somehow will emerge as the first black president of America if he wins the election. if people are voting for popularity, others by policies and platform of government, others by issues and what they represent, is america be voting for color of the skin issue? i don,t believe majority of white americans have compromised enough their so called racial indifference with the colored people..we'll find out then...how about you george!are you for the black or for the white come on tell me why?

The color of their skin should not be the basis of whether you vote for a candidate or not. Character and their stance on the issues that is the most important! I live in Arizona, USA. I have voted for McCain as U.S. Senator. And at this time I think I would rather have him stay in the Senate. I am seriously considering voting for Obama because I am beginning to believe that he can bring out the changes needed in the ways our government opperates. I don't totally agree with all of his positions, just most of them. He IS one of the most liberal politicians in the Senate, which will cause many to vote for McCain, just as, unfortunately, many will not vote for him because of the color of his skin.

I fully believe that race has NO PLACE in politics. They are both people, and they are both candidates for the highest office in our nation. They should be considered and a decision made based on their beliefs and their stance on the important issues facing our nation....NOT ON THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN. I personally find the notion of someone voting for one or the other because of their race or skin color very offensive. This is not the way of thinking that will fix our broken nation or begin to solve the problems facing America today!

that's very right of you, i do certainly believe that color of the skin is not the prime issue here, and that's what we in ourselves believe, however there will be people of yours that will not be so open with these issue of race..consider the Lincoln era and how good his intention was but inspite of his good intention to emancipate the colored people from slavery, a civil war has broken and has taken many lives as the cost for freedom. i hope this will not break America apart.

I know it is really close to the time where George Bush leaves office and a new president gets sworn in,I personally think that a persons race has no affect on whether they could be a good president or not,and if I voted there is a good chance I would vote for Obama because he seems more than capable to do the job,but I refuse to vote, because politics are nothing but bueacracy or however you spell it in my eyes now.
