Earlier this week, Schwarzenegger's short but lively political career came full circle when the state prison guards union took the formal steps to begin a recall campaign against him, citing "catastrophic leadership failings and inept management. This appears to be the tip of the iceberg for ARNOLD. Anyone think he should not run for another term? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080912/ap_on_re_us/schwarzenegger_bummer_summer

Wonder what took them so long? From the very beginning Arnold has not done much to restore the states faith in their government. Of course, the having no budget still is not helping him any

Seems they are mad is the reason they are doing it now. They want a big raise like the last one gave them. So in recalling it they are twisting his short hairs. They want a fast fix borrow the money he doesn't think they should borrow just makes it worse in the end and he is right fast fixes doesn't work.

So long as he doesn't borrow it from PERS like Pete Wilson did. I don't think the state ever paid that money back, so it wasn't a loan at all

Well, He said he wouldn't raise taxes then he raised them by 1 cent. I think that politicians should never promise something like that. California has alot of problems and he thought he cold wade in and fix alot. I say he has has the guts and maybe if he has a little more time to unravel all the problems California is dealing with he might get something accomplished. The state prison guards are just mad right now because they haven't gotten a big pay raise so they are starting to roar and start a bit of trouble..how is that going to help solve the issues that California has if they keep him tied up elsewhere trying to deal with hundreds of other things instead of working on what is needed. I think he needs another chance..it's hell trying to jump through everyone's hoops.

Actually, I'm both pleased and disappointed at the same time. On one hand, people seemed to think Arnie would get the constitution changed so he could run for President. On the other hand, I rather thought the guy was trying hard to be good in the role of governor, so I'm a bit sad.
