If you would, what kind would you get - tattoos that ripple all over your body, or just a small one somewhere on your arm? Also, what kind of design do you think you'll get?

Well, if they didn't hurt - would you get one?

I would never get a tattoo - well at least at the age of 43 I think I will never get one but never say never. I don't really have anything against them except for the fact that unfortunatly other people judge you by them. I have preached to my children not to get tattoos until they are sure that they know what they want and don't put them where they are going to be seen when they are going for job interviews or meeting people that they want to make a good impression. Well my 22 yr old stepson has tattoos that cover his arms and none of them make any sense. He even has initials of a girlfriend that he only dated for about 3 months, of course he thought they would be together forever. My 18 yr old stepdaughter has a huge tattoo on her back that she now realizes maybe was too big and she got her grandmothers initals on the back of her neck which has now caused problems at work because she can't wear her hair up because the tattoo shows. My 18 yr old daughter got the work love on her lower hip and although I don't agree she should of got it at least it is small and not too many people see it.

I think if you're afraid of people seeing it you should place your tattoos at places where people can see them only if you show then. That is, if you're afraid of tattoos getting in the way of your daily life.

I've thought about getting a tattoo for a long time but i've never gotten one. i would like to get one across my lower back because it would drive my husband crazy! But then i had 3 kids and my body just isn't what is used to be. if i could lose the weight i would get one across my lower back. i'm thinking some sort of butterfly with lots of nice scroll.

Sounds like a nice tattoo to get. I'm not sure getting a tattoo to aggravate someone would be a good idea though, =P .

i've always wanted to have a tatoo ever since. i think it's cool having one but there are times i take into consideration company work policies. most companies here in our country have something against employing people with tatoos. but if i'd really decide to get one someday, i'd place it on my back, i guess - on the upper right shoulder or just a little above my buttocks, sexy and cool...

Well if you get a tattoo where it is not easily visible, I don't think you'll have many problems with that, especially if you have a small one. I think they put that rule in place so you don't have people with rippling tattoos all over their body working at your family restaurant.

I would love to have a small tatoo of a unicorn on my shoulder as I have always been mystified by these mystical creatures although they are not real. I am to chicken of needles though and afraid of how much it would hurt to ever have it done. Plus I can't afford one right now they can be expensive.

Sounds like a nice design you might want on your shoulder. I've heard it does hurt a lot, comparable to a bee sting. But if you can take that, then maybe you can stand it?

I will never get a tattoo because it is permanent and most society do not like, mix well with people that have tattoos because it usually symbolize you being with gangs.

It is a rather stereotypical view of people with tattoos that they will belong to gangs. And it is true that a lot of people involved in gangs will have tattoos. However, keep in mind that people can get tattoos no matter who they are.

Well that depends on where you live, well in my society they still have this prejudice around people with tattoos. There is this saying, "Well as in Rome, do what the romans do." You can change the culture of a society in days, it takes tens of years to change them

yes, tattoos are really cool if you put them anywhere but i like them on my arms rather than anywhere else on my body. i like to get any cool design on my arm in future!

Oh? Why did you get it? Because of the design and it looked cool? or because it relates to you in some way?

I would never ever get a tattoo for various reasons. First of all my parents would not let me and if they found out i got one I would get a beating!.. haha.Second of all the ink could be posionus!! Third of all im afriad of needles and I would probally fain!, and then I'd be embarresed cause i fainted. Fourth of all umm cant really think of a fourth reason, but i'd probally never get one.. unless if its not a permanent tattoo. I'd probally get those corny stick on tattoos though haha! :P:P

I want to get one, a small one like a butterfly or something. But I don't think I'm going to get one... my parents would kill me.
