Braces - have you/are you straightening your teeth?

[i]I have braces when I was an adult already, I am very satisfied with the results and I know i need it very badly! For those who needs it, better to have it early really![/i]

i never had braces. but i think my little girl may need them when she is older. the dentist said you can't really tell now i would have to wait until her permanet teeth come in. but i think she might. i didn't need braces when i was young. i have really nice straight teeth

We didn't seem them that much when I was a kid back home. I never had them as a kid or an adult. Maybe I could benefit from them a bit but the small improvement wouldn't really be worth the whole price, etc. My kids were told by one dentist they should wear them and 3 that they didn't need them, so I guess unless the teeth are really crooked the suggestions to wear them by some dentists are purely for financial benefit - theirs not ours :) I would certainly make that investment if my kids needed braces, but honestly only if it really was a need, not just a whim from the dentist.

I did have braces through middle school, and at the time, of course, it was no picnic. But now my teeth are great, and it was worth it. It's best to have them as a kid because then you are surrounded by other kids with braces. In the beginning it was painful but it really did pay off.
