We love our PS2! I don't know when we'll get a PS3, but even when we do, I'm sure we'll hold on the PS2. We've been through 2 of them so far!

PlayStation will not die, even though it's manufacturing has been closed. It is because the PlayStation 3 is still very costly and out of the reach of many people. Since PlayStation 2 has a wide-variety of games, is very affordable and can play DVD movies, it is still under the wishlist of a lot, and a lot of people prefer the PS2 Over PS3. The powerful EMOTIONS engine that was made by Sony about 4-5 years ago, still has the capability to give out the best graphics. The PlayStation 2 has nearly every game available in it's console and even more the Slim Line, released in 2004 is network ready. I would really prefer a PS 3 but when the money factor comes, the PS 2 Rocks the charts. Such amazing graphics at such a cheap price is just like a dream. Moreover you can connect another joystick to play with your family, brothers, sisters, friends, or maybe girlfriends. The PlayStation 2 was a lot successful than the PlayStation 1 and the PlayStation X, so maybe Sony would still provide one or two pieces every month. As of casual gaming, the PS 2 is still the platform everyone prefer. Since Softcore gamers don't prefer to shell out a lot of green for games, they love the PlayStation 2 and usually go for it. I still give a lot of value to the PlayStation 2, as I still find it's graphical capacity as 'mind-blowing'. The PS 3 does have a lot of advanced features, but as for me the PS 2 Rocks. Cheers!
