What Do You Think Should Be Available in Life For Free?

There are many things that are available in life for free. So far, no government that I know of is able to tax air... (although some of it does come rather polluted...) - so breathing is something that we are able to do for free. Can you think of other things in life that are available for free? And are there things in life that you think should be freely available to everyone?

Water. It's like air - a basic necessity of life. Yet, we're being charged for it by our government. And not only that, but by water companies that sell bottled water too. It's a bit too much. Lots of people die yearly from water shortages, because of insufficient water or polluted water that is undrinkable.

That is true - governments charge for water through the government provided utilities or even through taxes... And we purchase bottled water, because the water the comes from the government needs to be run through filters first. (It is safe to drink, but it has an awful taste... depending on your location...) Water is a basic necessity. Thanks for your reply!

If I had it my way, I would say food and water. In my opinion life should afford everybody these basic necessities for life. No matter your economic status in life you should have these things.

Food and water are definitely things that everyone needs in order to continue to survive and live. And yet, depending on your location, these things can be difficult to find and afford - at least, clean water that people can actually drink. Thanks for your reply!
