Will these HomePages Friends Updates re-assure anyone?

Was just looking at the latest updates on the HomePages Friends site and wondering if these will re-assure anyone who has not been paid or whether anyone has been paid in the past few months? 11 September 2008 08:35 Payments Update Hi Homepages-Friends users, As some of you maybe aware we are behind with payments. We are struggling to cope with the amount of people that we have to pay as we have to review each account and then process the payment. We are working on automating this system for future payments but at this time it is mostly a manual and time consuming task. All payments will be paid but these payments may take a few weeks. There is no excuse apart from us being slow at getting the payments out. We ask that you please be patient whilst we work through the backlog of payments and we assure you that everyone will be paid that is due payment. ! 12 September 2008 21:59 System Upgrade As you will be aware we have become behind with payments and we have struggled to cope with the number of users we have to pay. As of today we have now gone live with a major software update to our internal systems. This allows us to process payments a lot faster. Yesterday it took 32 minutes to process a payment block - when we ran it this afternoon it took 59 seconds! We really do appreciate the patience of our customers and we would like to assure all of you that we are getting on top of things and working hard to get payments out. A number of payments went out today and our finance department will be working over the weekend and into next week to continue to make these payments. Julie I read a review on a site that said HPF was only paying a few people and not everyone so that if people complain about not being paid, then those that have been paid would obviously say they have been paid and stand by the fact that the site is not a scam. I am on the fence on this one really; I would be making searches anyway so the possibility of not being paid does not phase me but I wouldn't hesitate to use Google if I do not come up with as many search results as I want as Google gives more results and better results for both keyword searches and boolean or wild characters* What do you think of the above updates? Have you been paid but are no longer being paid? Do you think the site is a scam or have you read any similar reviews to the above?

I had not read those updates because I don't look at my account very often. I think the latest news is very reassuring. When I joined mhpf, it was then called My Search Funds and it had less than 2000 members. Six months later it now has more than 200,000 members. The site is still new and developing rapidly, so it's not surprising to me that there have been some delays. The first time I was paid I received more than I expected, and the second payment was delayed, but I was not expecting it, because I had only looked at earnings from my own searches and I had no idea how much I had made from my referrals. I just go on using the mhpf search box for my normal searching every day, and I know they will pay me 45 days after the end of each month I qualify, but if there are any delays, I don't mind waiting.

Good to hear paid2write! I am soon to reach payout and have not heard many 'I got paid' stories this month or last... Is it that people have not made payout yet? or they'll still waiting? Like you, I don't mind searching with it and do not mind the 45 day wait as it seems to be almost the standard waiting time for most of these online sites except for a few. Interesting Helium articles by the way

Hi marina321, I have not been on HomePage site so I don't really know about these things, but if the do pay and most people are saying they have been well I don't think its a scam site so people have to have patients and wait fro their payment to come through. Tamara

It is a worry that a business openly admits they are not coping! lets hope they start to catch up and pay people.

True.. I guess they have to openly admit they're having delays so people can continue to use their product
