oil price increases, commodities are increasing, there are none stop of terrorists attempts / attacks, even the climates / disasters are happening every now and then, etc etc etc.... Whether you are from different religions, i think almost all of them believe in the end of the world. Not to scare everyone, but do you think this is the sign that the end is near? do you believe on your religious beliefs?

I am not sure that it is a sign that the end of the world is near, just a sign that the world has to cater for a lot of people and that if there is not enough fuel or food being produced then we have to pay a lot extra for what is available. One day something will happen that is bad, whether that will mean the end for all of us or just a large percentage I do not know, but I was talking about this with my eldest son the other day and I said any huge disaster will be down to man and not nature. Man cannot help but be destructive.

The end will not dome for some time - first of all 666 has to happen - the coming world dictator will make all take his mark - whatever this means - it may be actual or have a spiritual significance - but according to the Bible, "if" you take the mark, you are doomed to miss heaven - and if you don't, you cannot buy or sell. there will be no flow of currency at that time. Also - watch Israel - there is a war of all wars coming against her, to destroy her people by many nations, including Iran - Russia - China and many more. THAT is what is going to cause Jesus Christ to return to earth. The Bible says that He will descend upon the Mt. of Olives, and it will split in half. And then He will deal with the enemies of Israel. No need to go on - many don't accept the truth of the Bible, and many choose to not believe in God. I'm not one to argue the point. God / Jesus has already "proved Himself to me," and that's all that is important.

Hi! yes, these incidents really question our existence and we don't know what may happen when. Terrorism has grown, people want to kill innocent people. Prices are increasing. It is very difficult for an ordinary man or a poor man to live in this world. I don't think that world will end completely but I do believe that most of the world's population will come to an end and again the world will start afresh like it was in the beginning. And who will live and who are unfortunate is totally in the hands of god , all we can do is just, wait and watch.

I don't think it's the end of the world...unless ending is another way of saying changing (which is what I always thought 'end of the world' meant, 'end of the world as we know it and birth of a new one'). Things are definitely changing. The earth is changing, societies are changing, governments are changing...the global economy is definitely changing -- and in the end, all of that makes alot of us change the way we live. I HOPE that it's all for the best, in the end...and that our new world will have just as much beauty in it as the one we've grown up with. But we won't know til we get there, right? All we can really do is what we can and hope.

I don't think this is the end of the world. What happening now is just the effect of what we did years ago. I believe that whatever our ancestors did ago have effects on what we are today. The climate change is just an effect for being populated and being over-exposed to different chemicals that's harmful for the environment. As for the prices going up, I honestly don't know why they are rising up. Oil prices are slowly coming down so I think the increase in the everyday goods must not continue anymore. Oil prices normally increases because of America and Europe needed it badly for they winter season. The more the demand, the higher the price because of the limited stocks...this is how economics works...but the moment the over demand stopped, the price will then return to normal.

i wish the time comes when it will come back to normal (same on the 70's below). i also agree with you that things happens because of us/humans too. i mean everybody is talking about helping each other and so forth but nobody does it. people are open about it but because of power and greediness this things happens. but then religiously speaking they say it's a sign... thanks for your responce

For some reason my thoughts have drifted to the facts that back in the "Greek" times they thought the end of the world was near, too. Every day that passes, we get a wee bit closer to the end of our life as we know it now. To me, the concept of time in the eyes of our Higher Power is something that none of us will ever understand. The different books we rely on in our faiths tell us of many things we will see take place before "the Trinity becomes as one". Look around you! Family is turning against family members, greed is corrupting all makes of mankind and there is so little love left in this old world. It might be a time to remember certain things before that last "wake-up call" happens. Peace, Love & Happiness to you all! Keeping The Faith- Billy Joel

I think what's happening nowadays are the result of humans' negligence to our mother earth. It's hard to understand human behavior that even if us humans know something is bad, we still do it, and as for our nature is concern now we can't do anything to reverse all these calamities and global warming problems, pollution because we didn't pay attention to it before. I think it won't be "the end" but I can see it slowly creeping in our minds that sooner or later everything we thought wouldn't happen, will happen.
