Yeah i love to watched other nations movies with subtitle. Because of watching their movies i learned to familiarized with their cultures, beliefs and even their places, thier economic views and many more. So even if i dont go out our country i feel like ive been in thier place and meet them. Im glad that here in our country, no need for subtitles because they dub it and air on tv. Some asian novelas are tagalized and even mexican novelas and movies. They translate it in our language which makes us understand it easier.

I usually avoid movies with subtitles. I am not very comfortable straining my eyes and trying to hurry thru lines which are already moving and then even if I figure out what’s scrolling by, I have missed many a nuances of the movie itself.

I do watch all movies and series, if possible, in their native language if there are subtitles. "Subtitles" are one of the best things which DVDs can bring. I remember very well beeing happy like a little child when it was possible to watch movies/series in their native language and still beeing able to understand it, bc most stuff was subtitled and with original language. (not sure if could write the meaning down as i want... did it make sense? lol)

It would be hard to figure out what exactly they mean if the subtitles go wrong.I do like watching certain language movies if they had a subtitle.

Some of the best movies are made in other languages passions of the christ was as well as the orphanage. I think a lot of movies from other countries sometimes have a better meaning than our american movies they make you think unlike our american movies that are more blood gore and adulterous acts

I watch Korean and Japanese movies. I'm Filipino but I don't enjoy Filipino movies because the talents in our country are embarrassing - not all of them, some are pretty good and they get noticed by Hollywood but the pop culture here is a disaster. Against that, Korean actors/actresses are really really good. They can laugh and cry convincingly and their plots, even though they have a generic story line, are better than the brainless movies we have here. Japanese movies or series are sometimes funny - sometimes they lack emotions.

I just love watching any good movie..whether its from my country or any other foreign country. And subtitles r better dan bad dubbing.Recently i watched a chinese movies"Crouching tiger, hidden dragon"..d movie was great but d dubbing poor...with bad English accent. I think movies are another mode of mass communication ..n d content n representation is more important dan d language/origin of d movie. It should b able to reach to d masses..for eg, Wall-e...d movie was superb..it got very few dialogues, though it was an english movie (hence global)...but d expressions of d characters were done so accurately n beautifully..i didn't felt d need of any such dialogues. The eyes talked for themselves. recently i watched d Spanish movie,Oscar- winning movie"Pan's labyrinth" with subtitles..n it indeed deserved d award..It was just excellent.Thats wat i think d award ceremonies should remember..any global award should b for a good movie irrespective of country, origin.language or anything..something taht is missing in d recent award shows..which is becoming more biased day by day.
