I've been seeing this product in my local bookstore for about a couple months but it was not until just yesterday that I really got excited about it. The reason I held off is that I assumed you would have to get subscriptions to even use it but Amazon pays your fees! The product is wireless so you can take it wherever you want to go and while the owner of Amazon says he originally wanted to make it into a WII product that just did not fit his idea for the Kindle. He says he wanted a product that could go anywhere with you and the GREAT thing about it is you do not have to go to a HOTSPOT or cafe to get wireless access because it uses the same technology as is used in CEllphones. The weight of it is lighter than a paperback making it more convenient and better than reading off a laptop. The thing that excited me the MOST is that I can access newspapers and magazines and even Blogs Whenever I want! The newspaper subscriptions are dirt cheap! You can get a NY Times subscription for 13.99, Investors business daily for 5.99 ($30+ for paper), WSJ for 9.99 and Los Angeles Times for 9.99. You get 14 day trials for whatever newspaper you want AND you can buy single CURRENT issues for $0.50 cents, you cant beat that. I buy these papers at my local grocery store for 1.75-2.50! MAGAZINES: The Atlantic, 1.25/ subscription, Newsweek, Time, $1.49, Technology review 1.25, Readers Digest, 1.25, US News 1.99, SLATE 2.49, Fortune 1.49, Forbes 2.49, Analog SciFi (by Dell) 2.99, BLOGS: The Onion, Celeb Wit, Fashionista.com, Boing Boing, NYT Blog, Slashdot, Tech Crunch, Cognitive Daily, Bit_h Ph.D, Overheard in NY, Amazon Daily, Daily Kos, Newstex Election 2008: Voice From the Right Im a mother so as much as I like reading the paper the fact is their too big, get blown around in the wind and often times it has to wait til night time when their asleep. Now I can read in between of chores or while my babies are at the park, or WHILE I AT THE GYM!!!I know there is a lot of talk and tweaking with the Kindle but lets keep in mind this is breakthrough technology that will make thousands of life easier who love books. It has NO backlight and the words you see on the screen are made to look like ink. And their working on COLOR as we speak. With any product there is going to be updating and but specific thing I would like is if the Kindle let me choose which font I want to read my book or magazine in and you cant do this at their Kindle forum. http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Amazons-Wireless-Reading-Device/dp/B000FI73MA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1221313694&sr=8-1 http://theunquietlibrary.wordpress.com/2007/11/27/will-kindle-spark-more-interest-in-reading/ Note: If you sign up for Borders Rewards membership you can get 30% coupons (usually after three purchases of any amount)

Yeah, I saw it online on Amazon.com, but it isn't on Amazon.co.uk Either way, I live in Spain, so it will be a while before we get it here too. I think it's a great little device, although as stated in another discussion, I don't actually buy new books, preferring to buy second hand - so not sure if it will be worth me even looking at it - not until you get them second hand! What happens when you've read the book, can you send it to other people, or do you have to delete it?

I know it hold up to 200 books, as far as sending books to other people, I can just see so many options for this little device, so maybe they will make it possible for other kindle users to swap books, THAT will be awesome! The owner in the video made it clear their still working on improving it and like I said before it just has not beeen done before so theres a lot of work ahead of them, so you could get a much better product there in the end, where here in the US we are still kind of getting the test product. I can see them doing something with WII too because it looks so so similiar to their products, probably will not be anything i would be interested in though.
