Forget Democrat and Republician - here's the most informative thing I have heard about drilling our own oil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlfmvwxxgHM We have so much, yet we don't use it. We let other countries control what we have and use and how much we pay for it when we are literally sitting on so much right here our own country. All the people it'd put to work, all the money it would generate to support the people of the United States, the strength it would give the US, not to mention gas prices would fall to very low prices in a short 3 years....but we don't do it. Why? to much legal gibber-jabber it seems What do you think? I just don't understand why the legal eagles of this country won't let us support ourselves.

I'm so sorry for coming in so late. I don't think it wise enough to go begging for oil from others when there is treasure hidden in your own house. This could bring immense wealth to the people.

Exactly. How stupid is that! Pay high price for something we can pay our own people to harvest and then pay a lower price to buy! Common sense has been banned from the government!
