What books do you usually read at school? Do you find them to be interesting or boring? I mostly enjoy the sci-fi books we read at school (like Fahrenheit 451 or Brave New World). What about you guys?

We read a lot of books of Russian writers: Tolstoj, Dostoevskij, Pushkin and so on. It was so boring. The only book that I liked was 'Master and Margarit' by Bulgakov.

We read a variety of books in high school. Like in 11th grade we read 'American Literature' so it was only authors from the USA, so the genre of the books weren't the same. The only thing in common was the country the author was from. All the other years we read some Shakespeare and then a little poetry and a couple novels. Some were interesting, some were not. I liked books like 'Alas, Babylon' and 'The Great Gatsby' but I didn't like 'The Old Man And The Sea'. I enjoy reading in general so I pretty much liked all the different types of books we were exposed to in school.

I am currently in high school and the books we often read are mostly inspirational. Our teachers really choose those kinds of books for us because according to them, they help us be inspired of other people who go through the difficulties of life and they help us be stronger people, so that we can pursue excellence as we go on. I really apprecite them, because they really DO care about their students.
