Hello there myFriends and fellow myLotters! Last night, I had the most amazing Key Lime Pie ever! It was actually my first Key Lime Pie because I've only seen Rachel Ray make it on tv. SO when I saw it on the dessert menu, I thought I'd try it out. And biy was it good!!! There was whipped cream served on the side but I didn't even thouch it because the cake itself was delicious! The graham crumb crust was so dense it was hard to crumble. Yet surprisingly, it was chewy and crunchy and almost perfect. The pie itself on the other hand was tart and sweet and tasted of eggs ( I don't know why) but it was really good. So tell me, do key lime pies really taste like this!?! Or was I served a hybrid cake?

Hi! I had my first Key Lime Pie when I visited Key West, Florida. That is the home of the original Key Lime Pie. I liked it the first time I had it. I'm glad you liked it because although I like it, it's not something that I would crave for very often. I eat it without the whipped cream. I am not sure if you were served a hybrid cake but your description fits the original cake. Happy myLotting!

Hello, thanks for responding immediately! I was afraid there weren't any other key lime pie lovers out here. But I just really wanted to share my experience. Anyway, I hope I can go to Florida and try the real key lime pie. Unlike you, I;m already craving for my next slice1 I think I'll try it with a dollop of whipped cream this time.
