Is there someone in your life that you admire so much that you think of them as your hero? There is a special friend of mine that was there for me at a terrible time in my life. I even gave her name to my daughter. My hero is my friend Diane. I also have many heroes at my church. They are people who have been through many things in their lives but have remained faithful to God. I admire and really want to be able to live in the way that they do. Do you have a hero? Why are they your hero? Do you have more than one?

i'm glad u have a hero. everybody needs one. i had a little 90 year old lady that i did her hair for years. she got sick & i was down to working 3 days a week in the shop.she called & ask me over & wanted to know if i could help her for awhile till she got back on her feet. that little while turned into 4 years. her son has now moved her to la. & i miss her so much. i could talk to her about anything & often ask her opinion on things. i dtill talk to her on the phone but it's not the same. i write her 4 or 5 times a week. she was like a mother to me.

We can certainly learn a lot from those who are older than we are. What a wonderful opportunity you had to get to know her! How old is she now? She must be very "with it" yet that you are able to write her like that. Amazing! Thanks.

Hello rockerj1 My hero is definately my mum. She has always been there for me when I have needed her and that has been a lot of times. I too went through a difficult time in my life and there she was! She visited me yesterday on her way to see my other brother who was then taking her to the airport to fly to Kuwait to see my other brother. There she was yesterday helping me to put these flowers on my car. I had to leave her to it in the end because she did such a fantastic job I was just messing it up but I did keep in her in good supply of tea and biscuits and she enjoyed doing it really!

My mom is also one of my heroes too. There is nothing like a mother's unconditional love, is there? Thanks:)

Yes. My partner is my hero. I admire him immensely. He is strong, intelligent, thoughtful and caring. No matter how hard things get he is always there offering support. For me it is wonderful to have someone I can lean on when times are tough. He needs someone to lean on as well but it seems that the emotional support that I give is enough for him to sustain him.
