Do you usually guess the ending of a movie?

guess the ending? - do you usually guess the ending of the movie you're watching?

So you watch a movie without knowing what the ending would be like. Do you usually guess the ending of the movie you're watching? Or do you just watch it without no idea or no care how it would end? If you have guessed the ending, is your guess usually right? As for me, I always guess the ending of the movie I'm watching. It's fun especially when my guess is right (and it usually is). How about you? Thanks...

Some movies have such predictable endings and you could write the script yourself but now and again you watch a movie like the "sixth sense" I hadn't got a clue or "the others" I never got that, still don't really to this day.

I agree with you. Some movies like "Sixth Sense", "The Others" have an ending that I couldn't even predict. Well, if you like movies with unexpected ending like those, I may suggest "The Orphanage". It may just like those two but the ending is not exactly like them. Thanks for responding

With some movies, yes I can. Movies like NEVER BACK DOWN, STEP UP and STEP UP 2: THE STREETS. Basically, any dance or fight movies, I can tell. On NEVER BACK DOWN, I knew that Sean Faris's character was going to turn his bad luck around and win that street fight. But I didn't care because it was awesome. Movies like that are so predictable but if it is fun to watch, Ill stick with it.

Yes I am always predicting the end of the movie and I am more pleasantly surprised if my prediction is wrong, because then the film isn't predictable. Some films are so predictable that you are left feeling let down, like an anticlimax, so when I guess the ending I hope to be wrong that way I feel that the film has surpassed my expectations and I have felt fulfilled and the film gets the big thumbs up!

I don't know... I would say I am about 50% right; many times I can kind of sense the direction of a film. It comes from knowing the structure of the film industry and the types of things that go through being a former film student. But at the same time, I find many times that I am surprised at what is happening. Normally, the movies that are trying to be ambiguous and confusing get to me, while the easy ones and the obvious once are ones that I can usually get right away. I will admit that some movies I will know almost right away and lean over to my wife and tell her "I bet I know what's going to happen" and probably be pretty close to being right.

I do guess the ending most of the time, and also certain twists in the plot are obvious. I wish more films would surprise me but they seem to be pretty predictable most of the time!

Hiya! I guess it would depend on what kind of movie that Im watching. If its a horror movie, which I am a fan of by the way, I would guess the ending of the movie even before it starts. Its just my way to see if I know horror stories that well that they would come up with a different twist to the usual ending. If its a gripping action scene, then I just ride on with the storyline. If its a nice adventure then I try to enjoy the quest as much as the characters in the movie does.LOL! I guess the endings of romanctic movies as well, also just to see if its the usual happy ending or something tragic. Or if they go through something tragic just so they can have a happy ending, if you know what I mean.

It depends on the movie, sometimes it is so obvious and other times it is not. It all depends. I love a movie with a surprise ending.

I think that many movies are way too predictable so you can end up knowing the outcome without even trying a lot of the time! But every now and then a movie comes out with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. I enjoy movies like this once in a while. M. Night Shamalayan has done this well with some of his movies like "Sixth Sense", "The Village" and "Unbreakable" and I just recently saw a movie about bent police called "Street Kings" that did this well also and in a very different way to Shamalayan's movies.

I think I usually guess the ending about 90% of the time when I am thinking about what the end would be. Most of the time I don't try to think about what the end is going to be, but I usually the question or idea comes up just because you know that there will be an end.
