Do you sometimes pretend that you agree with your friends?

I mean, in some cases, especially when there's no big deal, do you pretend you agree with your fiends? Say, your girls are shopping, and your friend criticizes on a pair of shoes. Although you don't really think it's ugly, you nod your head and agree. The same thing would happen on judging people, commenting on celebrities, etc. I mean, it's no big deal, but Do you pretend you agree with your friends sometimes?

Yeah, I definitely do that. It is after all no big deal, and its just a small white lie that wont result in ruined friendships. I can afford those kinds of lies and can put up with it even if I have to look at that "ugly pair of shoes" when she decides to buy it after all. I think how I feel on this matter can be easily summed up with a quote: "A good friend will tell you everything. As in no attempt at lies... but a real friend knows when to lie to you and what to lie about... for the most sincere reasons." I do so agree with that quote and I understand it as well. What do you think of it?

Yeah, lying is never easy, especially with the ones you care about, but there are just some times that a lie is necessary to either save your friend from getting hurt, or ruining a perfectly good friendship. Well then, I guess you're just being a real friend.

Great quotation! Although I would not choose to lie most of the time, it's just sometimes not the time and place to say"no". Have a nice day! Great quotation again!

That would not be friendship to me. If I like something and my friend does not then I would ask her why. You see everyones has a different personalities and I would not change my likeness for her. What you did was wrong because you are putting this friend before you and I know that she would not do this for you. Build your self esteem and if and when you see something you like even if someone else doesn't still do what you feel is best. Remember there is only one you. Kerry
