I usually skip breakfast because I have to hurry for work, is it only me?

It is said that we should eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a queen and eat dinner like a pauper because this is healthy. But because of work schedule, it is the other way around, I don't eat my breakfast, I eat my lunch but it is usually during the night that I eat like a lot, like a King. I know this is not healthy but my body's physiological clock is already atuned to this. What about you?

My dad once told me, eat like a king for breakfast and dinner, you can ignore lunch if you want. I believe that theory is proven and it works for me, keeps me ticking. In fact, lumptous lunch increases your body heat thus making one feel uncomfortable and uneasy. That has always been the case for me.

I follow almost the same schedule like yours. I usually skip breakfast or limit it within Tea + Biscuits, afterwards, I have a solid lunch and in the evening, I take heavy food! I usually do not prefer to eat much at night.

I read that you really shouldn't skip breakfast. Skipping breakfast could make your metabolism slow down and cause you to gain weight. However, you said you've been doing it for a long time so maybe your body has already coped with your schedule. I usually have 2 meals a day now because of my schedule and that's brunch and a super early or super late dinner. During the first couple of months, I gained some weight but I'm back to normal again after that. Maybe, once your body learns your schedule, it would be okay.

I do follow the recommended serving for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is because I don't feel sleepy after a heavy breakfast and I can concentrate on my work. For lunch,if it's too heavy,i would feel sleepy and a bit dizzy. Maybe this is because of the hot and humid weather in my country.Normally i will go for a short walk at the corridors to keep myself awake. For dinner,I would have a hard time getting to sleep if I eat too much, my stomach feels bloated. In between I might wake up and frequent to the toilet or the kitchen for water.Somehow I find ladies are able to skip breakfast and lunch, maybe because their metabolic rate is not strong compare to men.I would feel tired if I skip one of these meals.Somehow I recommend you to take moderate meals to keep youselve healthy.

I eat breakfast almost everyday. In my apinion, breakfast is the most importment. It does harm to your health if you dont have it for a long time.Maybe you dont see its harm at a short time because you are still young now.but in the future you will suffer from your choice now.Get up a little earlier and eat something for brakfast, you will find it s easy to insist.come on!

You're right of course fang, but I just can't make it early as I sleep sometimes 2-3 am, then I have to wake up 7 to prepare for my 8 am work...so toxic, but I enjoy it. Thanks for that vital input.

I'm just like you. I don't eat breakfast because I'm not used to. Every time I eat in the morning, I always feel that I need to go to the bathroom. During lunch, I only eat little because of budget constraints. But in the evening, I also eat like a king. I think I eat a lot in the evening because I usually don't eat during breaks when I'm at work to save some money that is why I eat a lot during dinner.

Hi Jena, I do not usually eat breakfast not because I rush to work, but because I got used to it. And yes, it is not healthy as we need it to work more efficiently. When the clock strikes 10am, I feel I am getting weak and I must admit lunch does not really help. Dinner is my favorite because it is bonding time with my wife and children. However, I try to change my habit because my 12-year old daughter is always scolding me. So now, I try to eat some and mind you it helps.

Hey breakfast is something to which you should get your body used to. Even I was a person who would never ever breakfast. I felt puky if someone told me to eat something early morning. I had exactly the same schedule like you had No breakfast, Good Lunch and Great Dinner. But no breakfast lead to headaches in the afternoon also increased acidity. BreakFast is nothing but breaking the fast that you had overnight. Your body has used up all the nutrients over night and its waiting for more energy. Hence I made it a point to eat atleast one biscuit or bread everyday. Gradually I got used to it. Now my lifestyle has changed. Have started eating like a king in breakfast, Lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper. At times I just have soups or fruits in dinner.

Hello,Jena! It is unwise to skip your breakfast as it is the meal that gears you up for the day.As you say you don't have time to eat a good breakfast at least you can rehydrate yourself every morning with a glass of water and vegetable soup and cup of green tea followed by a bowl of fruits.I think this will not take much of the time while preparing for your office.thanx.
