Hello all, hope all is well. Ive been plagued by many BSOD's since I started using Vista. I used the Mozilla Thunderbird Email Client on my XP machines for years so when I started using Vista I just downloaded and installed it. The last few days my BSOD's have increased, and this morning I noticed it happened as I was sending and receiving my morning mail. Now its been my experience that Vista does not like 3rd party products, so Im wondering what you guys use and do you have any trouble with it.

I don't use any email clients that come with operating systems! I have windows xp and I have only ever used yahoo as my email client. It's free and you use their server to store your emails. This way, no space is being taken by storing emails on your own pc. I don't have vista, so I don't know much about it but, I have never had a BSOD, no, infact, just two over the past five months. Good luck. Andrew

I don't use thunderbird for mail, but my father does and he is also using Vista. I've heard of some people having problems and other not while using the same software. Thunderbird has pretty good support since it's open source you should get on the forums and stay in touch with the community maybe you can find out what might be causing the problem. It is more than likely some other program you have installed interacting with Thunderbird at the same time.

Hi Banadux, During this last set of BSOD's, the only 3rd party product I was using was my Comcast connection. Ive started using the Mail Client that came with Vista, We'll see if I get any more crashes. Thanks for the response.
