Metrolink: How low can you go?

I am so angry with Metrolink for blaming the engineer of the Metrolink train for the crash on Friday. The man is dead and cannot defend himself and the investigation isn't even complete and they are already using this poor man as a scapegoat. It's infuriating. Not only has this man lost his life but his family is now having to deal with not only the grief of the loss but the smear campaign of Metrolink. Metrolink is speaking prematurely and are simply trying to save their own image! It's tacky and a low blow to this man. Even if he is ultimately found at fault, they should keep their mouths shut until the investigation by the officials is complete. There could be all sorts of reasons for the accident. Maybe a signal failed or maybe the computer on the train failed to alert the engineer or maybe the switch failed. There are all sorts of possibilities and they should at least wait until the investigation is complete. I think this announcement shows poor judgment on behalf of the company and their PR rep. My sister owns a PR rep and I don't think she would ever act so irresponsibly as this person has. Now, maybe Metrolink officials told her to do this but I'd quit before I'd smear a dead man's reputation without the completion of the investigation. I think what they are doing is cowardly and pathetic! And, I'm furious with them for doing this.

Sorry I'm a wee bit late!! But I'm here nonetheless... lol Some people are quick to lay the blame because they're at fault (too) and are in a hurry to hide that fact. In this case, I thought that was mighty quick to have come to such a conclusion but I didn't take it to heart because the investigation wasn't completed yet and now they know it was something else. How sad is such an understatement.
