Mylotters I am so upset. My star just went down today to eight. Its not that Ive been doing anything bad either. I havent called anyone names or put anyone down. All I did was voice my opinion. It makes me very upset when people rate people badly just because they dont agree with them. So the reason I put this in the money topic is because Im just going to stick to helping people make money. Then maybe my star will go back up. 
Has anything like this ever happened to you? I think that it is also against mylot rules to rate someone because you dont agree with them.

Don't worry oscar it happens to the best of us 
Mine gets a lot of bashing every time I advise new uesrs not topost links or older users not to add private info in discussions or do ref links.
I put myself in the shoes (oe in front of the computer) of the person who is reading my warning and I guess they feel I have told them off. Some of them mouth me back. Who cares, I would feel worse had I not have advised them and others can see the warnings too.
I never rate those people either negative or positive. Then once they get the hang of it I rate plus or nothing.
I have a theory about the stars - here on myLot we are ALL stars whatever the colour and whatever the number. Too many red and blue ones would be boring too 
Don't think about your star, it is not important and the longer you stay here the more you will relaise this.
Just have fun!

I love your post mysdianait and I agree with everything you say. We actually need more colour on the site...stars are not important and it would be great if myLot did away with them altogether.

I dont think it is right for people to rate you bad for telling them the rules. They will in the end make more money if they listen to you, so really you are doing them a favor! I agree Alexandria37 but we have asked them to do away with them many times before adn they never hear us. maybe this is the wrong time of the year to suggest it again as MyLot is already dressed up for the Christmas season with stars all over the place.
I think they are the only thing negative about the whole site and I try to take the edge of them with my daft theories. Turning everything, or at least trying to, into fun makes smiles and smile lines go up in old age - stress lines go down

It really saddens me when some people do things like that. Fortunately the majority of myLotters are very fair and accept other peoples opinion. Isn't that what a discussion is all about and the fact that we are all of different makes the discussion more interesting. I will give you a plus to help bring your rating up again.

well thank you alexandria! I do agree that most mylotters are very kind here. Im not here only for the money, I just enjoy talking to the nice people here. I just wish that everyone accepted peoples opinions. However you will always get that mean person that thinks everyone is wrong if they dont agree with them. Oh well, so is life. You didn't necessarily do anything to upset anybody, not even by voicing your opinion. Looks like every so often we get a troll who likes to downrate people. Nothing personal.
Personally I don't care about the star rating. It can go up or down all it wants. I have no idea if it has any influence on earnings. Thus far, I have not noticed a difference. Maybe if I would post more, lol.
Anyhow, don't let it get to you. It's just not worth it.

Thanks for your kind words. I guess it could be someone just downrating everyone. However after I posted my opinion on a very controversal topic it went down. SO I think it was because of that. I dont want to just play it safe because i like voicing my opinion, however sometimes i feel that people trust you more on this site when you have a high rating. I dont think it has anything to do with earnings, thank goodness lol.

That is rather annoying, and I also would be mad if someone "downed" my stars... that would be really frustrating!
