I have three boys ranging in age from 5 to 9. For years I have been using the internet as a educational resource for the kids. The elementary school the kids attend requires that they each read for 20 minutes for their homework.
I often use the internet to find information on anything that they may show an interest in at the time and use that for their reading homework. For instance, My son said there was a grasshopper in the bedroom with six legs and two hands. It turned out to be a praying mantis. So, I looked it up on the internet and let them read all about a praying mantis.
I have a few websites I visit to get stories for the boys to read. Apples4theteacher.com and magickeys.com are two great sites that have tons of stories on various topics and other educational resources as well. I have found that introducing fresh material frequently keeps their interest in reading and they never get bored.
I was curious as to what other websites you may be using as resources for your children?

I have a 3-year-old. I use
http://donnayoung.org/penmanship/index.htm to teach him about letters and handwriting
http://www.starfall.com/ to teach letters and phonics
http://pbskids.org/ for fun
http://www.noggin.com/ for fun
http://janbrett.com/ a variety of fun stuff
http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/preschool_activities.htm more random fun
Those are just a few that we use. Hopefully more people will add a few more sites.
