activists at a conservative political forum clammored to purchase boxes of waffle mix with a caricature of Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama wearing Arab-like headdress on its top flap.
The organizers of the conference cut off sales of Obama Waffles boxes on Saturday, saying they had not realized the boxes displayed "offensive material." The said they were told the boxes were a parody of Obama's policy positions but had not examined them closely.
Creators, Mark Whitlock and Bob Demoss, said that the boxes were meant as political satire They sold it for $10 a box from a rented booth at the conference.
What are your thoughts? Political satire, or offensive?

Personally, I found it rather hilarious! Not sure how anyone with brain cells could find it offensive, although in this day and age anything is possible. It was a great idea and they should have kept right on selling them
Satire, especially political satire, is almost always thought of as offensive, usually by those who are being poked fun of

Well, everyone keeps saying that Obama is a Muslim when it is confirmed again and again that he isn't. When you say the box had that Arab-like headdress, is that what this is referring to? If so, I think that people need to move on and stop lingering on this rumor, because everyone pretends it is true.
