Why take it out on the kids?

Ok here is my issue, My mom and I are not on speaking terms right now due to some really childish he said she said. Anyway my problem is she is kinda taking it out on my kids as well. When ever we have a disagreement or argument my kids wont see or hear from her until her and I are on speaking terms again. It really bothers me because my kids love the Nanny very much. I dont think it is fair she does this to them.
Does anyone else have this same issue? And if so how do you handle it in your life?

hi i see where you are coming from but it could also be that with the way you are to each other your mom may think that if she is around the kids and you are present or even if the kids ask what is going on she may think that it will create unneccesary hostility for the kids so she may think shes doing the best think but you really know its not the best thing and i dont think it is either i too argue with my mom alot i also have 2 small kids but my kids do not see her very much because of her husdand that may sound bad on my part but there are good reasons behind taht and i do klnow it affects my children but i couldnt put them in that siutation
