New and Need Advice for buying Gear

Hey i'm pretty new to rock climbing, i have been going to my local rock gym and renting equipment, but its pretty expensive. I am planning on getting a monthly membership and purchasing the equipment. I was curious if there were anygood sites to buy the gear, as well as what i should be looking for in the shoes, harness, and belay device.
