I use my laptop all the time for all my internet use. I only use my desktop to share my internet and some other multimedia type stuff. The laptop works great I could do everything I would ever need on it. Its just not as fast as my desktop and i think thats just because my laptop has windows vista. My laptop is a Thinkpad R61 i went with a thinkpad because they are reliable, durable and comfortable to use. all of the other laptops i have used get really hot or otherwise uncomfortable to use for long periods of time.

Nope, I'm on a standard PC. My wife has a laptop but we use it for other stuff like movies and CD Rom stuff for the kids.

I own a Acer aspire notebook. I would say this notebook serves me well. I use it mainly for internet and gaming. However one bad thing about my lappy is that the vent produces hot air. And i really mean HOT AIR. Ya, thats the problem with most acer notebook that i've noticed. ( I have 2 acer notebooks at home )

I do not yet own a laptop *sigh*. But I have 3 desktops. Our first computer was a Gateway/WIN98, still works fine and I now have it connected to my wireless network. My other 2 computers are both Dells with WIN XP (which I love). Hubby and I are talking about getting a laptop for Christmas this year. Our daughter is attending College and has an Apple notebook/laptop (whatever they call theirs) I want to see how she likes it and maybe even play a bit with it before deciding whether to buy Apple or buy Dell again. I am an internet tech and receive calls EVERYDAY from WIN VISTA users, not their best operating system. WIN XP is so awesome, they should have left well enough alone...lol

I am working on a PC at the moment, but I do have a lap top as well. It is pretty nice, it makes it convenient to work at the kitchen table if need be. I can do anything on there that I can on my PC.

I have a Toshiba Satellite. I will never bother with a desktop again. It does everything I want as well as being portable. Has been half way round the world with me. Mind you, it's not the hardware that usually goes wrong, it's the software. And because I'm not Linux savvy I contend with bad ol' Microsoft and all it's problems that will eventually happen.

I have a Sony Viao, and I absolutely love it. I got it a year ago, and I have had no problems with it at all. I not only use it for mylot, email, etc. I also use other features on it. I love that I can take it with me since I have all my work info., personal files, etc. on it. I also have a desktop, I don't think I have been on it since I got my laptop lol. I also go to scrapbooking retreats, I can download my pictures, print them (I always take my printer) and I can also share them with my s/o while I'm away.

I have a HP Pavilion tx 1000 laptop. I don't really like it. Firstly, it is hot. A glass of water placed beside the vent will become a glass of hot water in 30 minutes. The screen is not really clear, due to some thick plastic covering the screen which is scratch resistant. The touch-screen is terrible, slow and unresponsive. Writing on the screen is practically impossible and time consuming. However, I like the Altec Lansing speaker just below the screen. It can pump out crystal clear music despite its small size. Overall, my laptop can only do general internet activity, and is not powerful enough to handle most games. However, I don't blame it because I bought it at a relative cheap price for a laptop. I do wish to own a gaming laptop, with big and stunning screen, as well as awesome speakers. Not to mention high performance but cooling at the same time!

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505. It works awesome ever since i bought it like 2 years ago, its still stable. I use it for just about everything i do. For example since I'm a programmer, i debug small sections of a program on my laptop during my commute(Subway). And i have my laptop next to my bed so it serves as my alarm clock. Not to mention my music, hours and hours of it. But i generally like desktops better. They are faster, and more expandable...
