Who's more fun to have, baby girl or baby boy?

Before I got pregnant with my daughter, I used to think that I prefer to have a baby boy for my first born. I don't know, for some reason, the proper order for things is for us to have a baby boy first and then a baby girl. My husband wanted a daughter from the start. He said little girls are more fun to have coz they are cute and sweet, and they love their dads! lol! Eventually, before I gave birth, I started liking the fact that I'm having a daughter for my first born. And my husband was right, it is fun to have a baby girl. How about other mylotter parents out there? Who's more fun to have, a baby girl or a baby boy?

Both are fun. When I was taking care of my twin cousins, one boy and one girl, they were so much fun to take care of. They were so cute.

They are also "double trouble". My twin cousins were a nightmare to take care of the first six months of their lives. They were crying non-stop and one of them had cholic. My cousins did not get a wink of sleep.

Nice question. When she was pregnant I had likeness to a boy. Because of that she said that she likes a girl. We wanted a battle between us for sense of humour and never much serious about it. When I first heard that it was a girly slight dissapointment was there for a fraction of second. Now she is 10 months old and I am very very happy for her. Many says that girl first is lucky sign. I don't know about that. However, girl or boy it's our babies, aren't they. So we are happy for anyone.

When I was expecting my baby I preferred to have a daughter, because girls tend to bond more with their father. However I did not give much concern about it. I prayed to God to send me a healthy child. Whether a boy or a girl it did not matter much to me. Both are a gift from God and its our duty as parents to love and care for them.

So, what did you have, a boy or a girl?

I think it would be more fun to have a girl because I can do a lot of girl stuffs with them. I can dress them up in countless ways and buy them lots of accessories too. But babies will always be lovable no matter what gender. Babies always makes me smile. They're one of life's greatest gift from God. If ever I have children someday, I wanted to have both at same time. I always wanted twins for babies. ;D

well, I think every woman dreams of having twins (one boy and one girl). At least then, you'll feel that you're complete.

for me i prefer a boy, since i am the dad and it feel so good to have a baby boy instead of a baby girl as the first baby. well having him first means the continual bloodline is sure enough, and knowing also that having a baby boy as your first baby means something like blessing or favor from God who made firstborn baby boy special in his sight...well having a baby girl is a blessing too specially nowadays where man and woman share the same right not like before...

I used to think the same way. But God gave me a baby girl, so I think she's still the greatest blessing of my life. Thanks!

I am not married yet, but i think of this question alot of times. I prefer to have a baby boy firstly and i hope to get a baby firl the second time. I think boys can be more fun to anyone, they do stuff which really surprises you. Like my Sister has a baby boy, and he's sooooo smart, cute and loving and also he's brave. He doesn't get scared easily. YOur first child is most important to you so i think it should be a boy rather than being a girl

I used to think this way too. But when I had a baby girl, it's not so bad. not so bad at all.

Like you before I got pregnant, I prefered a baby boy. So in case I bear another child he will be the one to protect his sister (that is because I want it to be a baby girl). So my answer is biased cause I have only one sibling. I definitely think that baby girls are so sweet and loving.

Baby boy or baby girl for me is fine it does not matter. The thing that matter most is they are born healthy and normal.

For me baby girls are very cute. I love baby girl. But both of them are gifts of god. But still I like the baby girl. They are just cute simply beautiful. I wish my first baby would be a girl. I would name her "Prothoma" it's a bengali name. It means the "First One". If my girl comes in second I would name her "Vasha". It means "The Language".

I like the name Vasha better. That's a really nice name.

It doesn't matter which you have, they are both fun. Yes Dads love their little girls but they love their sons too. They have special bonds with both. But Mommy loves both because they grew inside her andthey both give you so muvh joy. You get to dress them and snuggle them all you want , but be careful they get use to it and you will be stuck doing it more then you want to later on when they are a little older. But Boy or Girl just enjoy every second because it goes by mych to quickly.

i have a little girl right now and i want to have a boy the next time. i think little girls are really fun. i used to want a boy for my firstborn also but when i had my girl, there are a lot more activities that you can do with her than with a little boy. she can play games for boys, wear pants and still enjoy girlie things. she likes my makeup but can still rough it up with her dad. but still, whatever is given to me as long as the baby is healthy he or she is bound to be fun to have.

I so agree with you. This was how I was when I was small. My dad wanted a boy but when he found out that I'm a fun baby too, he couldn't ask for more. Thanks!

I am pregnant now for my 3rd baby. I have 2 boys already and so I hope that the 3rd one will be a baby girl. This will be my last child because I am under caesarian section. I would love to have a girl but I cannot choose. Having a boy is also okay for us. Its still a blessing from God.

congratulations. I hope you have a girl this time.

I think both of them. Well, we could not dictate the well of God.. If he gives us a baby boy boy or baby girl we have to accept with wholehearted. It is a blessing given from Him. God will not give us pain, sacrifices and others.. We people who make it difficult. God provides us everything as long as we can manage of it.

My first born is a baby girl, I am very glad because my husband and I doesn't mind having a girl or a boy for our first born. It was a very happy experience having a baby girl.. and after two years, I got pregnant again and my husband wish to have a baby boy,so to experience having a baby boy,. His wishes were granted because I safely delivered a baby boy.. I can truly say that on my part, both were fun to have... I am glad to have a boy and a girl!.. have a great day!

The most important thing is that the baby is healthy. I think that great things can be said about baby boys and baby girls. In an ideal situation a lady would have a baby boy then two or three years later have a baby girl. Then she would have both genders and therefore balance her family. My friend had a baby girl and then three months later got pregnant again. Her baby boy was born when her first child reached a year old. I have a son aged 13 years and a son aged 15 month. That is a considerable age gap and I would love to have a baby girl next.

I have 2 brothers. And I have since always, wanted to have a baby girl. Not as a daughter, but maybe a nephew since my brother is already married and I am single xD. I just think that a baby girl would be pretty interesting to care of, assuming that my brother will allow me to =D, since I have grown surrounded by boy kids literally. So kind of a new and fun experience for me I'd like to live. Although I have been told that a baby girl wastes way more money that a baby boy. Baby girl = nice clothes, accesories, dolls, toys, more nice clothes, even more nice clothes, xD... Baby boy = just some sweater and pants, and out he goes! Well at least for me it was like that when I was younger xD!

Hi Trust me i wanted a little girl more than i could think. Now I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old "boys" But you know what from seeing how little girls act. I am very happy with my boys even though i am going to have a heart attack before i am 40 they do anything they can to hurt themselves. My youngest just fell off the deck and broke his right clavicle bone(collar).I love having boys and think i would rip my husbands head off for proteting our little girl so much if we had one. LOL!!!

no, I don't agree. girls can be just as fun! I used to think that baby girls are more behaved and quiet. But this is not true with my daughter. she's just a handful and my husband is crazy over her.

Don't tell my son but I enjoyed my daughters more as babies. They seem to have cuter clothing and toys for baby girls. I have found that my son was much more fun as a toddler and child. My daughters tend to be more high maintenance where my son was so laid back and easy going.

so true... well, my daughter is just 9 months so she's not yet in that high-maintenance stage yet. Thanks for sharing!
