Highest transfer rate ever made?

Are you aware of the transfer rate when download something on the net? What was the highest transfer rate you have experience when you download.. please explain..

Am from INDIA. here max download rate comes around 400-500 kbs in my ISP , but if its leezline it will be even faster.
