Going Grey?

Do you have grey hair? How old are you? How old were you when you noticed your first grey hair? Do you do anything to cover it up?
I first noticed a grey hair when i was 17 by 18 I had a little families of grey hair popping up through out my hair. I am not 23 and just started coloring my hair to cover them up. The hair color do not last long. My grey hairs will not hold the color. The other thing is my grey hair is not really grey its more WHITE. My mother is the same way. she had me at 27 and had a full head of WHITE hair. she colored it too but was having to do it every week so now at 50 something she wears it natural. People think its so pretty on her but on me at 23 WHITE hair is not cute!

I started noticing white hairs popping up when I was around 30. I was mortified. I had not seen my mother's hair as anything but rich black. I didn't know she colored it! She apparently started to get grey/white hair fairly early too and colored her hair.
I ALWAYS cover the grey. I would never let myself go all white or grey. I buy hair color for stubborn grey and do my roots every 4 weeks. I have a temporary pencil type thing that covers greys between colorings. Grey and white hair is very resistant to color. I leave the color on 10 minutes more than the box says and that seems to help.
Mine are white too and man, does it make me feel old! But all my aunts are in their 70's or 80's now and not one has a grey hair to be seen. You would never know they had any! That's my goal. Some women look lovely with white or grey hair but I just don't think I'm one of them!

They found the first one when I was 16, bah humbug and I started coloring it when I was 25. I'm 50 now and I'm afraid to see what's under there!

Well, I think I straight away got my hair white, instead of grey hair. I can't remember when I first got white hair, perhaps when I was about 20 years old. I understand that stress may cause white hair too. I was studying and really under pressure, so I understood why I got white hair. Now, I'm going to be 30 years old soon, and I have quite a lot of white hair on my left side, they are actually quite obvious, they are whole white, not party white only. I don't really mind about it, as I think it's quite okay too.

i dont have any grey hair but if i did i would color it!! i mean it's not bad but i want to stay young as long as possible

I actually don't have any yet and I am 32 so I guess I am pretty lucky. But my dads side they are white in there teens! My moms side they don't until they are in there 50's so I am guessing thats were I got the hair gene and my big A*S! I guess you have to take the good with the bad!Rachel

You are very lucky do not have any at 32. I guess you have great genes. There is grey hair on both sides of my family so there is no way of be dodging it. my dad was "salt and pepper" senior year in high school.

Well I was about 22 when I first noticed that I had a few grey hair in my head. I was worried about it a little so I started coloring my hair, as my hair are naturally black. But I guess, the coloring products available in market today have certain chemicals in them because when I colored, more greys turned out, so I stopped coloring. Presently, I don't use any color and the grey hair in my head are not that much.

I don't have grey hair. But I think grey hair doesn't really matter . People whose hair are not grey also color their hair.
