Senator Obama wants US troops to stay in Iraq

"According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.
"He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington," Zebari said in an interview."
This was reported in the New York Post. It seems that Senator Obama is more concerned about keeping the Iraq War an Issue rather than trying to see the troops get home. It appears like he wants to get the credit if he is elected.

This is also troubling because this is a violation of US Law for a citizen to negotiate with a foreign power without approval from the President. I understand that this reporter is not the most reliable but surly if this were a Republican doing this to a Democrat President they would be He// to pay.

Well I doubt that if this is the case he can worry about becoming president. I believe that the American people are ready to bring out troops home and to safety. It has been a long 8 years it is time to stop. I don't even know if they know what they are fighting for anymore. I would hope they have a good reason.

The soldiers I know that have been out there and are out there now, know why they are out there and think they are helping. Most people don't hear about the good we are doing out there because the news media are biased and only show the bad stuff. I'm a military spouse (as well as a former active duty soldier) so I still have contact with plenty of soldiers.

My thanks to your husband. My son served a year in Iraq when Iraqi Freedom started. I have another son who is in ROTC and will be graduating in a couple of year and receiving his commission. Many of their friends have volunteered for a second or third tour of duty. They believe in what we are doing there.

This is just one more example of why Obama has no business being president.
Fortunately, the Iraqis seem to have him figured out, and did not fall for his plan.
Obama wants to take credit when there is none due him, and in the process wants to make it appear that it was him and not Bush that made the difference in Iraq.
Obama should be charged as a traitor as well as violating that law... perhaps then we will also find out about his status as a US citizen if they can ever find a valid birth certificate for him.
This is not the first time that Obama has interfered, he also interfered on behalf of Odinga in those elections and a bunch of Christians were burned alive as a result.
Obama is just a self serving politician who has no business in public office.
