Why is basketball so famous?

why do you think why basketball stands out, why is it very famous, actually i like basketball and I'm good in it, i can say im addicted to it, and i like James Yap (a filipino basketball player), Le Bron James, Kobe Bryant and many more
its more than a game.....

because its very physical game and its a sport that really need strategies and power and i think basketball became famous because of the great player of the past like Michael jordan.

ok! i love that "Michael Jordan"... Yes he made basketball so big that all people had noticed this game.
