I am just curious. Is it possible to like and eventually love someone you haven't met?

I am not sure exactly what you mean by this, but if you mean someone you haven't actually met with in person, then I know the answer is yes. My fiance and I met while playing a game online, and even though we did not physically meet for many months, we developed a friendship that eventually turned into the greatest love I have ever known.

Yes it is. May sound crazy to others but well, they can call me crazy if they want to, LOL! Kidding aside, I've had several boyfriends before. I've had suitors who pursue me like crazy, but well, what's maddening really is when I fell hard, fell deeply inlove with someone I just met online. What's crazier is that I felt this crazy feeling even before I heard his voice or saw him on cam. I just read his profile and saw his "outdated" photo and I felt something crazy inside me. We've been online "lovers" for more than a year until he had to give up on me since I still cannot get the annulment that i was planning to have. I had to let him go, I wanna be selfish but I love him so much to keep him waiting. He needs to be happy as well. Ah love! Why do I have to feel it for someone who can't be mine? Uh-uh I sound really poetic and pathetic here, have to stop now... LOL!

I think it's possible if: 1. you haven't met him/her, but you get to see him/her often (online) 2. you haven't met him/her, but you get to talk to her (heart to heart)like textmates and callmates do. If none of the above, example, you just saw her photo, maybe it's just attraction and attraction is sometimes mistaken for love. For number two, there are a lot of success stories of textmates who fell in love with each other because of the quality of conversation and the emotions that goes with the text or call). It happened to me one (hehehe). I fell in love with my chatmate, eventually, became my textmate and callmate. He's very romantic. It's like a long-distance relationship. before we met, I was already in love with him. You're lucky if you will find an honest person that puts his/her emotions on the words that he says. You can feel his emotions in his voice. One thing good in that relationship is that you get to "see" his heart and mind. (that is, if you find the honest person). Luckily, I found it.

Great love story!:) That made me conclude that it is really that possible to fall for someone you haven't personally met. I guess it's just a matter of how these two people made that love possible even without seeing each other yet.

i remember this tag line at ronan keating's video when you say nothing at all, "i'm in love with the person that i haven't met yet" i don't know if it's possible coz some people say that this is true. destiny or fate will make a way to meet two strangers & eventually fall in love with each other. i don't know coz i never experienced it yet. but if i will experience this, i'll let you know hehehe..

Yes, some fall in love just by emailing and others just by talking on the phone and then meet later. Some even by just corresponding by mail (in the old days). Me, I'm a visual person. I prefer seeing the person first when it comes to loving as in a relationship. But have no problem liking people as friends like on Mylot..

Yeah it is very possible for this to happen. I have recently fallen in love with a man I have been talking to for 5 months online and over the phone. I haven't met him yet but I'm very much in love with him.

It's great to know that someone like you is an example to this scenario. You're too lucky to have found the person whom you're in love with. Continue loving!:)

Hi! I believe that the mind works in wondrous ways! My answer to your discussion is YES, it's possible to like or eventually fall for someone you haven't even met because your mind willed it to happen. I don't believe that the heart will tell a different story. What makes the heart beat faster is the brain telling it to do so. Some people come to a point when they realize the need to be with someone or to fall for someone. This wanting gets into the psyche and become finally expressed for someone. Well, this is just my opinion. Happy myLotting!

I don't think that anyone can tell you who you do and don't love. I'm sure you can at least like someone, because anyone can like anyone. Love might be a little more hard to figure out. I think that everyone should be allowed to figure out their own feelings, maybe with help, but nobody can just decide.
