I like the song "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" because the dark lyrics are such a contrast to the light tone of the music.
I never heard of Deathcab for Cutie until one of my guitar students brought this song to me as one of his projects. It's a really fun song to play. It's even more fun when the two guitarists switch off the lead and rhythm guitar parts on each verse.

That is one of my favorite songs by them too. I agree with you about the dark lyrics contrasting with the calm relaxing tone of the music. I also liike the fact that it can be considered a love song, but it's not the cliche type. And the realism in some of the lyrics for example starting out with "love of mine, someday you will die." Most love songs don't just put things out there like that.
