Do you think that Palin will run for President if she wins office in this Presidential Election? Or do you think that if McCain is elected Predisent that he will be able to remain in the Presidency throughout his term or do you believe that something may happen to him healthwise that will incapacitate him and move Palin into the drivers seat? Either way I feel like if McCain is elected President that Palin will be the next President to follow him.

I'm not sure she would run. Considering her unpopularity even now (especially women) I don't think it would do the Republican party any good to endorse and election with her again.

Well if McCain/Palin win this time it is perfectly possible that McCain may serve only one term, in which case Palin, as sitting VP would be likely to run I would have thought. Even if McCain serves for 2 terms, Palin may well still run, she is after all young enough.

She is quite a bit less popular than Hilary was, if Hilary were still in the race I think that the vote would have coalesced arund her camp by now, but American women are not going to vote the McCain ticket just because there is a woman on it.

Too much depends on pure speculation. As of this point, I see no reason why McCain could not fill his first term. The man, depite his age, is in better shape than I am at almost half his age. Look at his mother. the woman is nearly 97 years old and probably in better shape than I am, so if genetics are any factor and they seem to be, I don't think his shelf life is of real concern.
As for a second McCain term, again, too much is up to pure speculation, alot can happen in 4 years. If his health is still good at the end of a first term I don't see why he wouldn't run for a second. And I don't think we have ever had a vice president run against an encumbant for the nomination of their party in a primary.
One poster here mentioned Palin's "unpopularity". WHAT?! the only people she is unpopular with are democrats. I would remind this person that there were people who were uncommitted until she joined the ticket. Say what you will about her qualifications or ability, but the one thing one cannot seriously discredit is her over all popularity. I have even seen one very hard core liberal in here say it pained him that she wasn't a democrat and liked her VERY much.

For some reason I do not envision him winning even a first term let alone a second one.

Looking at the longevity in his family, I don't think there is any reason to think John McCain has any more chance of dying while in office as any other president 65 or older.
As for Palin, I think she will be the Republican Nominee for 2012, I don't see McCain trying for a second term.

People are questioning his health and vitality as well as his viability under te strain so you are probabl right that he will ot seek a second term if e is elected for a first term.
