Hi friends Reading is a world of discovery and I really like reading. I assume that it's a way to travel without any fees! What about you- do you like reading? What do you like to read? Thanks for the response.

I consider myself a book lover. And not only books, but I also love reading magazines, comic books, newspapers, and other reading materials. Unfortunately, times are tough specially nowadays and my finances couldn't keep up with the rising prices of almost everything in the market. In fact, we are finding it hard to make ends meet. We both have separate jobs but as for books, they could wait for a future time. Also, I have to admit that as of the moment, I still don't have the luxury of time to indulge myself in reading marathon. For now, I content myself with reading stuff which are readily available to me; preferably those which won't cost me anything, like the newspaper in the office. And if ever we stumble on great reads, I make a note to myself to remember the titles of the books and purchase them when our finances permit us. For instance, I particularly loved watching the film, The Da Vinci Code. And I was able to borrow the paperback version from my younger sister. Sad to say, I haven't finished reading it until now. But I've watched the movie a couple of times already. So I told myself to buy a DVD copy and pocketbook of this same title within the next year.

I absolutely love to read . It is a landscape I can create with my mind and expand the characters however I wish with the help of the writer. Imagination is something that is an unyielding , and yielding force we can play with. I try to always travel with a book in hand , I have all kinds of books all around my house . On every shelf and nightstand . They are in my bathroom all over the place . I have to find new inventive spots to put them . I am into horror novels and fantasy , but i also like art books and reference . I will once in awhile pick up Plato or Shakespeare and try to understand them . :P

That's very good friend. Wow, you read Shakespeare...I find this very difficult to understand. But when I was in college, I was doing Shakespeare books as part of my English Literature course. The teacher was explaining us everything which seem quite easy but the real Shakespeare lines are very difficult to understand. Thanks for responding friend.

hi excellence! i love to read. you are right when you said that its a way to travel without spending any money. well of course, except the money that we spent on buying that reading material. i love to read suspense and thriller novels and also some classics and usually the authors describe real places there and if even i can't imagine it exactly the way it should be, it would still seem interesting and i can just search the net for a picture of the place. ^__^ not only that, i also get to learn the culture, societal behavior, and a lot of other things about people from other places. my favorite authors would be Anne Rice, LM Montgomery and John Grisham. i also read Stephen King and other novels of authors of the same genre.

Hi! I agree with you, reading is a world of discovery, there are things that quite learned from it, as well as, it was good pastime. Anyway, I also love reading and my favorite genre are romance/love stories, sci-fi, fantasy, classic, and mystery and suspense. It was really enjoying to read these books, not only, I learned some things here, like historical facts sometimes, it was also really good pastime for me and quite helps to relieve my boredom too.

Yup, I love reading books since young - though it's more for entertainment and relaxation. I hardly read any heavy stuff; mainly fiction. I enjoy crime detection, horror and mystery stories - and could get engrossed in a book for hours!

I go through spurts. Sometimes I'm in the mood to read a good book, other days I could care less. It's weird! I've recently been into reading, and my sister's given me a long list of books she's read & recommends. I like the Red Dress Inc. books, and books by Emily Giffin & Sophie Kinsella

I like to read very much. Try to do it every spare minute that I have. Being at school I didn't like all those books on my school programme. The only book that I liked there and can read again and again is 'Master and Margarit' by Bulgakov. Now I like to read fantasy, sci-fi and horror books. My favourite authors are King, Koontz and some Russian sci-fi writers.

I love to read, I do not get as much time as I would like to read but I usually get through a couple of books a month. Before I had children I would average about 6 books a week, I was just called Bookworm. I love to read historical novels at the minute, and I am reading a series of historical novels by the same author.

Thanks for starting a good discussion. I love reading. Relatively I have reduced in my reading. Before marriage I used to read atleast 3 hours after routine work. Normally that will be from night 10'O clock onwards. I like psychology books. Infact I was a book worm in psychology. I have a great collection of psychology books. My other area of interest is social science and fiber optics. Fiber optics I mainly read online. Why limiting myself to one subject? Frankly I have now a good collectioin of read books on Health topics, psychology, social science, cosmetics, fiber optics, religion, sciences and so on...really I was a book worm. But after marrige the reading has drastically come down. Now the only thing I do is writing some of my experiences in my blogs. hhhaaaahhaa Cheers ! I have my black horse waiting for me in the shelf.

Yes, I love reading a lot, whenever I get time I read a lot of books or lot of informative stuff. I like reading because it enhances our knowledge and makes ourselves relaxed in many ways. I prefer reading then watching a movie. I read only that stuff which I am really interested on and not each and everything. I am very choosy about whatever I read even, hmmm , however reading is a wonderful experience, and experience is personnel , my experience cannot make others wise.

I understand, when we grow up- time become difficult to manage because we start to indulge into lots of activities and our duties and responsibilities in life increase. That's why it become difficult to find time for reading. Thanks for the response friend.

I love reading, I usually manage to read a couple of books a week. I mostly read horrors or thrillers, by Stephen King or James Herbert. I do however, have a large collection of chick lit, which I read when I can't be bothered reading a proper book. I have a few biographys too, my favourite one being Elizabeth Wurtzel's. I read most of my books at least five times, and never throw one out!

when i first started reading, i was into love stories/novels. but as i matured in my reading habits, it turned to detective stories, suspense-drama, sci-fi and basically anything i can get my hands on. i agree with you that reading a book brings you to places you've never dreamed of going to, which is why i much prefer reading books than watching the movie counterpart. reading lets my imagination run wild, but visual aids sometimes hinder it
