Hi everyone! I am so happy today! I think there is still future for our family business. As some of my friends here know we just closed our craft store a month ago. I had the shop operating for 13 years but due to economic crisis we had to close it down. I had all the stocks here in my home and hoping that I could still sell them until they're all sold out. I also left a sign board at the former location to inform still interested customers where to buy. Since my place is a bit far from the shopping area I wasn't hoping for anyone to come here still. But I've noticed that a lot have been coming over and calling me looking for us and still interested to buy crafting materials. For several days I have a lot of customers buying especially students because of some projects at school. Many have come just for this day and the sales well, for just a shop located at home and far away from the shopping center, it was pretty good actually. My customers said that many will be coming over tommorrow and so I have to prepare some craft kits for the students. I wouldn't be able to stay for long here in mylot for now. This might be the chance for our family business to pick up sales even a home so I would be concentrating on it for now. I hope all the kits that I will be preparing will be sold out tommorrow. Wish me luck guys! Ciao!

Hi! I have faith in the shop and so I have never given up on it. Though I have our family business here at home I think its ok cause people really patronize the shop and they kept looking for us. I think I would be operating the business in my home for a while now in that way I don't have spend money for the rent.

This is Great News, and I hope by now 2 weeks later, things are still continuing to go Good for you. You never know though from day to day when you own your own Business though how things are going to be. That is why they always tell you to plan ahead, and set $$ aside for the rainy days with no business, and wish for the best from there. You will have to keep us updated as you can.

Hi there iskayz! It's nice to hear that your family business is doing well again. I am sure that the entire family is very excited and happy about the great news. By the way, what kind of crafting materials do you sell? If I may suggest, one strategy you can employ to be able to invite prospective customers would be to come up with activities like free tutorials on different craft-related activities. I have a friend who owns a store that sells accessories (including supplies). I once suggested this to her and now, she does offer free tutorials on making scented candles, beaded accessories, and other crafts every weekends. To some extent, it increased the number of customers as those who underwent their short "training" sessions are now very into it. Good luck my friend!

Hi! We sell cross stitch materials, yarns and diffenrent kinds of threads for sewing and and the like. We also have beads and some native products and a lot lot more use for crafting. Tutorials? That would be a great idea to boost the sales. I am also thinking to offer the schools in my town a contract that our shop will provide the students materials for their projects. Maybe I could give the teachers incentives if they will agree.
