I am afraid of silence especially when I am alone at home. It's really scary as the surrounding is too quiet. But I like silence when I am sleeping. I cannot sleep with either television or radio is on. I cannot sleep if there is any noise. How about you? When do you like silence and when do you dislike it? Please share with me,thanks.

I love silence. I don’t have the problem of being left alone at home as long as there is a pc and I can stay online for hours or read books as an entertainment; being alone can be boring too.
I don’t mind either if the only sounds I heard is my footsteps but if I noticed something strange I would turn on the radio in a low volume and listen to my favorite music’s. It is far better than hearing people chatting in t.v or other noises.

You know this is a very good question because I don't like it when it's really quiet particularly at night if I'm alone in the house by myself but when I am not alone (which is a lot) and am getting ready for bed for work the next morning, the tv's, and lights have to be off except for in my room where I turn the tv volume down low. I always had a fear of the dark eversince I was a little girl. Take care and God Bless!

I have no problem of silence. Sometimes I do like to have silence time. Usually when there is no noise I can relax myself and feel the harmony. Not always I like silence. Often silence will make bored also. Sometimes I want to have friends or someone to talk to. I will read books when I am alone at home. I also will watch movies but I will not watch horror movies if I am alone.

I don't mind whether it's silence or noises in the background (like TV). What I can't stand is people talking and chattering around me, when I'm concentrating on my work.
During the night I could sleep with the TV on - it's just noises in the background - at least it mutes the other sounds like furniture creaking, doors closing or any other noises that I wouldn't want to find out about!

I like silence. I am not afraid in a silent empty house because I used to have myself alone when I was new in this city. I don't mind being left alone in an empty house as long as I can get connected to the net and I can online 24/7. I like silence because I can think better when there is no sound around me. But I also like it when there is some music around so that I can have some entertainment when I was alone. I don't like the sound from the TV because I don't like the sound of people chattering and talking. I would rather listen to some music on my playlist when I am doing some assignment.

Since i am always surrounded by crowd, silence is not applicable in me, Everywhere you here sounds, noise around you even when you go to sleep , but i am use to it already.
Ofcourse if there is silence i would probobly afraid for its new to me and i havent encounter it yet.

For those who use to live and work in a crowd usually and when they are all alone they feel and take it differently. For those who work also in silence and quite calm atmosphere they do not face this problem and I am one of those. When ever I am alone at home I do not feel it otherwise I keep myself busy watching TV and if bore of TV at my PC surfing internet I do not know when the time pass and all other members of the family returns.
