do you find that teens these days are always saying 'my bad' when they should be saying sorry? how do you feel about that? does it bug you as much as me?

I have a habit of saying 'my bad'. I have to disagree with you, though. I think 'my bad' is the same as sorry. Of course, there are times you should say 'I'm sorry', but, for small things, I think 'my bad' can substitute for 'I'm sorry'. So many people say it, so, it's easy to understand what they mean by it.

Ugh! I swear I thought my bad went out in the 1990s, but it seems to be a phrase making a comeback. And not just with teens! I heard a forty year old guy say that to another guy he accidentally bumped into going out a door of a business. It's slang that never caught on with me.

Yes, it bugs me, a lot. My s/o has a teenage daughter, and of course she has the habit of saying that. It doesn't bother me if she is just talking to her friends, but when she says it to her dad or me, I correct her. I just tell her, how about an apology? not a confession of how bad you are! lol It usually gets the point across and she then corrects it.

It sounds stoopid and dumb, it is very annoying to people from the "old school",but, i understand what it imply and its the way that young people say excuse me...every generation has their own way of saying and doing things in their time "ERA" ...
